ACQUISITION
Client: Wren Kitchens
750,000 sq ft Warehouse
Acting on behalf of Wren Kitchens and Bathrooms, Gent Visick acquired the former Kimberley Clark factory at Falklands Way, Barton Upon Humber.
The factory which sits on 178 acres was purpose built in 1992 for manufacturing nappies and due to significant changes in this sector, Kimberley Clark took the decision to close the factory, which ceased production in March 2013. The property will become Wren Kitchens new headquarters.
Andrew Gent commented “Wren Kitchens needed additional manufacturing space to meet increased demand for their existing and new product ranges. Whilst the property at Barton Upon Humber was twice the size that Wren Kitchens needed, the locations and price negotiated presented an opportunity to good to turn down.”

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
Mark Pullan, Finance Director for Wren Kitchens said “We gave Gent Visick a watching brief to try and identify a unit of circa 300,000 sq ft which would be available in 12 to 18 months time and instead they found us 750,000 sq ft now. That said the location suits us really well and the size of the property will allow for future expansion as well.”
